    You know thee are new tanks available for around £50 on eBay, pretty good considering and as they're new I'd say less rust than any tank you'll find second hand, quick coat of hammerite and you're good to go.

    Arent they saloon ones though? Haven't seen new hatchback ones but will stand corrected

    This fitted my hatch, no probs mate



    It's an injection tank but that doesn't matter, just blank the return off.

    Not the most amazingly thick steel but a coat of decent paint and you're laughing.

    Doesnt the carb tank for 1.4 need a return anyway?

    @house... yours fitted no problem?

    I couldn't answer on the return, just assumes as it's carbs it fills the carb and then stops pumping

    And yeah it went in no dramas, the only thing I can think is the exhaust routing differently under the tank but I wouldn't pick that up as I'm running an Edwards made to what I have system



    Here's mine before I cut it open and added a proper swirl pot




    I bought some tank straps from them but they were shit!!!

    Sorry was thinking carb tank with return etc. I had seen these but forgot....Alziemers setting in....

    Yeah if it can be done with an injection tank go for it.
