    Default E16se ignition timing

    My e16se is running rough so iam go na check the ignition timing. I've got my self a timing light what should the e16se be set at on the ignition side? Cheers

    Could only find 1.3 engine. Unless Iam blind .

    Have you tried connecting the light to number 1 plug, starting it. Then you can undo the supporting bolt that holds the dizzy and then slowly turn it until the lower pulley mark lines up with the timing pointer. This was the issue I had and now is much better for me. Unless the process is different on your engine to the the 1.3/1.4 8v

    Sorted I've found it should be 10 ° btdc at idle.
