Default 1.2 cam in 1.6 for running in

Iv just rebuilt the bottom end on the C16SE and have a new piper cam to fit but don’t want to sit at 2 grand for 20 mins running cam in with new rings/shells in bottom end. So I can’t see a problem with putting in an old 1.2 cam and followers while running in bottom end,it will be running twin 40s on the 1.2 dizzy.Any views on the would be appreciated

Put together as one with the cam, we built my friends crossflow and within hours of starting it was on the dyno at 7k, still runming now and still stupidly fast

Running in is a myth,iv “ran in” and iv had them straight at the limiter, the ones I brayed were excellent engines.
