    Default Bolt on 1.6 carb.

Something Stuart and I were discussing at PVS.
I want to get my E16SE into the Sting but don't want to be faffing around fitting the whole GSi loom that I have as well as the engine.

I do have a set of CBR600 bike throttle bodies but these will need building up with a manifold to suit.

So suggestion by Stu was (if I understood correctly) was a 1.6 carb inlet. So I'm thinking tracking down a mk2 Astra 1.6SR inlet, if such things still exist.
Just interested in some details, were these twin port like the Nova SR? Any ideas on where to look as well?

Or would the carb from one of these fit the 1.3SR inlet?

Using the bike bodies would be the best way to go, but it's not the cheapest, plus you'll need to make a new loom for the new management, if I was you I would fit e16se as it is, leave carbs alone.

You'll probably rob power going to a single carb. You'd really want a weber conversion on there, 32/34 and these can be bought new with adaptor plates to replace a peirburg 2e jetted for a 1.6 mk2 golf so should only need minor tweaking to work
