Few running issues..
I have a 90 1.4 sr on pierberg 2e3 carb original.
I have removed original air filter and fitted a ramair and was wondering what to do with the vacuum pipe that went to the air filter.
Also I can't get it to run correctly it doesn't matter which air filter I use it won't tick over and it has a slight splitter when building revs up then when it revs quiet high it clears .
Any suggestions.
How would I know if auto choke is working etc
In terms of the vacuum pipe from the breather box I'd say you should just blank that off. I assume you are running a separate filter from the breather with the ramair being fitted?
On mine I had a Weber 32/34 so it had another connection for a breather so I connected the dizzy vacuum to the carb and the breather vacuum to the inlet. I doubt the running is to do with what filter you have fitted.
Maybe a vac leak some where. Also have you checked the inlet gasket? As for the pipe I used a little breather filter on the end of the pipe.
