    Default Stone chip

    Hi,
So i have finally removed all underseal from the car, its now down to bare metal i was wondering what the best prep and products to use..
From what i can gather it should be applied in this order?

1)etch primer or eproxy on bare metal?
    2)seam seal?
3)3m body gard textured coating(08879) or 3m two part sprayable sealer (08800)?
    4)paint

    thank you.

Order sounds good I did the same, check the manufacturer instructions for what the stonechip expects underneath it although I think I used the Body Gard you mentioned over primer and it's been perfect. Paint is optional.

Personally when you see most vehicles rusting it's cause the moisture gets in behind the underseal and rots the panels

Hi mate. Thank you for the reply. I don’t suppose you have any photos of the finish when you used the body guard as I’ve seen the finish to two part sprayable sealer. Wondering the difference in looks. Thank you

Come to think of it I painted on POR15 before the sealant and stonechip too.

There's pictures in my WIP thread somewhere but struggling to find it!
