First of all take the intake plastic top hat off look in the center of the carb you will see a brass jet unscrew this out with a flat screw driver make sure its not blocked with water or white fuzzy shit . 9 times out of 10this jet causes a problem . Failing that fire the car up and why its running spray wd40 all around the inlet manifold gaskets see if the revs change could be a leaking gasket hence why it only runs on full choke . Then remove the dizzy cap and make sure the rotor arm is good and not burnt on the contact . And check the inside of the cap . These motors are very basic and not realy alot that can go wrong so I wouldnt be to worryed. Check the vac pipes on the carb are not split .

Well I've had a look at everything at everything and all seems good. The brass injectors look clean, the dizzy and rotor are almost new, I've just serviced it with new plugs and what not..

There is no free cable floating around for the sensor on the block, so I have no idea what's going on there..

Any other sort of ideas I can try.. Can't figure out why it would be over fuelling..

My carb has a stamp in front of pierburg that says 1B if that helps..

Sounds like it needs setting up to run a 1.4... was it running when the guy who sold it had it?

There is nothing to plug into that sensor because it's not needed with the carb and dizzy
