I've just read Corsa ones are M14x1.5 too so that sounds right.

What's wrong with the originals? They usually clean up OK.

There probably fine just wanted to put fresh ones on. I managed to order some yellow zinc ones yesterday so hopefully they fit.
I been having issues getting a nut for the steering wheel. The car didn't come with one and I actually got the one off your F reg saloon if you remember and it doesn't thread on mine. Where these ever different threads?

I am not aware of different threads on the steering column. Weird.

I found replacing the original nuts and bolts a false economy. They were not made nearly as well. I ended up going back to all the originals.

I resolved the steering column bolt. It felt far to stiff to go up and I was worried about stripping the thread. Lots of research showed there's only 1 as you said. Chucked a socket on it and eventually it went on.
