Default 1.2 single port injection to c16se on carbs

Hi, time is getting near now to actually get the new engine into the car.
I have a gsi lump that I have twin 40s for.

Reason behind this post is to kind of get a checklist together to make sure I have all the bits needed as I want to get it all done in one weekend as I have a mechanic friend who can help.

    So far I have

    1.6 lump
    Twin 40s with manifold
    1.4 Sr dizzy set up
    F13 box
    5 speed gear linkage
    Facet low pressure pump

Can I use the 1.2 rad and hoses?

Can I use the spi tank and pump if I use a fuel pressure reg?

Can anyone list anything else I will need? I'm getting new Cam belt kit, clutch etc.

Any hints and tips to getting it all swapped over?

    Cheers

For ease use a carb tank, it'll be a lot less hassle than using the spi one and you can mount the low pressure pump near and use the original loom just extend it.

1.6 rad hoses are different sizes, you will defo need them you may get away with the standard rad but the 1.6 one was bigger for a reason.

    You'll need a 200mm clutch not the original 180mm

You'll need alternator lowering brackets for the t40s.

When installing the engine and removing go from the bottom.

Bigger brakes are advisable 236mm x 20mm corsa sport brakes bolt on and are a good upgrade without sacrificing pedal feel they also came on combos of the same shape. Although astra gte brakes can be used too.

There's more but that'll Keep you busy for now

If you dont need the original 70A alternator you can use 40 or 50A from daihatsu, that is much smaller, and fit without the lowering bracket, and 2kg less weight.

    - My 25660mm brake setup came through the post the other day.
    - The lowering bracket for altenator came with the engine i think
    - I have a new clutch but will have to double check the size
    - I have a powder coated tank in the garage which is either gsi or Sr but I'm unsure.. I'll have to get some pics up of it
