Default 1.6 8v Big Valve Head

Wanted a 1.6 8v big valve head, Blydenstein ideally but will consider anything with REC valves or 39/32mm valves

That is big? Mine is 40/32,5 and the next what I build will be 41,7/33,7.

Are your 40/32.5 ones from Risse I take it? I assume that you'll need offset guides for the 41.7/33.7

I am considering using 41.8 inlets from the C20NE maybe keeping std exhaust valves

Yes, the 40/32,5 is from Risse, this is very good quality, with surface coating.
The 41,7/33,7 will be offset how you said. The guide placement was cutted with wire edm from 11mm to 13mm, and has 1mm offset, so the guide stay concentric, easier to make it. I bought used titanium nascar valves with 7mm steam, and will machine from 56mm to 41,7mm and from 40mm to 33,5mm. This is much cheaper than the Risse or REC valves.
At the offset the same cam will open more than the original valve.

I'd be very interested to see photos of this build progressing thanks.
