    Default F23 or f28

What would be the box to choose out of the two for a 600bhp c20let

F28 has an extra gear and is supposed to be much stronger and is more suited to a nova with cable speedo and clutch. I'd use an f23 on a more moderate build myself as they take the power well but means converting to valve and hydro

It's not going on the road just strip action. I know finding a good f28 is hard to find also f23's are easy to sorce. Was Currently using a f20 on my old setup with diff but not sure it will last on my new engine also would my helix six paddle clutch an updated pressure plate fit the other box's

Basicaly straight cut gears (dogs) clunk into gear but much stronger than syncro which slide into mech due to gears being cut on an angle . much smoother but is more likely to jump out of gear and smash gears . without going into detail

Im running f18 on my drag car with motor capable of 600 hp . they are cheap as chips . and alot of parts go in them . i can think of loads of fwd drag cars running the 28 and most of them have chew with the box .

I used to run in exess of 250hp through a standard f13 and never had chew .

Also i know you say 600 however this year already i have seen people pulling loads of power out of there cars and running faster times .
What size tyres are you planning on using pal

What is the od of the tire mate if you know that and know your ratio your box is you should be able to work out the speed of each gear then you will know what box to use as the last thing u want is changing gear 30 yards before the finish.

I wouldnt use 16inch wheels if it's a drag only car, a set of 13 or 14 inch rims with some fat slicks would be ideal.

A 888 has steel in the sidewall so theres no give in them.
