    It was, so i made new engine mounts. It's 10 times better now but still an issue. The engine / gearbox doesn't move at all.

    I also found that the bush in the turret wears quickly allowing slight movement

    Many thanks for that, I managed to miss your article before.

    Any chance you could drop me an e-mail please as there's a few bits I'd like to discuss. Thanks;

    You can get a different design of turret shifter that'll go straight onto the box top & if you're not on an F20 casing the O.E cable bracket can be rewelded for a near perfect route.

    I've just done a conversion at the turret end to rose joints; I have had a standard end bushing pop off when shifting in anger, meaning it can't happen again & less slop. That said even as it was the setup can easily beat synchros. Very precise & IMO a CAE probably not needed.

    How is yours routed colin?

    Mine is quite direct as it goes over the rack and down to the turret. I don't have any shift issues with when using mine aggressively on a hillclimb and must say i'm yet to beat the synchros....

    Ryan Brassington is doing the conversion at the minute with Vectra parts so will be interested to see what he says using the std vectra parts throughout.
    If Carlsberg did Motor clubs, then IDMC would probably be the best motor club in the world.

    I've picked up all the bits from a Vectra C with F17 gearbox and cable change.

    It's all been mocked up on the floor to a spare F10 box, and seems to work really nicely. I'll post up a few photos soon.
