Was trying to work out why you cut the key down. Awesome idea, now if you get stopped by the police when using the spare key it will look like you've used a screwdriver to Nick your own car. Lol.

Joking a side, that is a pretty cool idea.

Gave the bay a clean today ready to prep, seal and paint now it’s all welded.

Also ordered an Alloy rad to help keep things cool, need a slimline fan now too

Yes mate, some models have a smaller rad, which mine had so no good for XE conversion, but these ones fit any model, only £100 delivered off eBay too not sure if original fan fits it though

Engine bay has been wax oiled and primed, just to paint now....
    Slam panel support painted black

GTE/SR front bumper sourced, will go upol mid grey

    Calipers being striped and painted

    Front springs freshly refurbed

Knuckles, topmounts and spring Seats etc being stripped and powder coated too

Ordered a slimline fan and fitting kit and powerflex poly bushes.

Engine having belt, pump etc done sat and should be home ready to drop in next week

Cam belt, pulleys and pump done

    Slimline fan arrived
Clutch ordered as the one off the donor car was really thin, had hotspots and one of the springs was knackered.

Calipers all back together with refurb kit, couple of bits where the paint went funny but still way better than they were, new seals etc

    Knuckles ready for bearings

Top mounts, spring cups etc all ready for front suspension to be assembled

    Bottom pulley machined down

So now waiting on poly bushes and front end can start to go back together ready for the engine to drop in......
