Hi guys just wondering how everyone else got over changing the standard deck players to aftermarket head units and what did they do for wires, is there a kind of loom I can buy plug in and play to adapt to the existing wires? Cheers

Just adapt the wires pal .
When we got our L it had the radio with no cassett in .
Changed it over to a cd player . But now due to not using that car much i have changed it back to original radio just to keep it looking right..
I just cut the plug off and fit a modern type.
How do I go about that chap I'm no good with electrical stuff at the mo (just about learning :)
You can buy this loom to plug in to the nova and then you can plug your new headunit in. It also saves you cutting up the nova's loom so you can go back to the standard headunit if you wanted

If yours is a nova L I assume its mk1 but if its mk2 you can get a loom for that as well. For 5.99 inc p+p you can't go wrong
Right guys so after getting round to buying the lead it totally doesn't work as it is the wrong plug adapter harness am I missing something here or do I really have to hack up a true and unmolested loom just to get the damn radio to work it would seem such a shame to ruin the originality of it /:
Anyone??
Can you not just cut the wires at the back of the cassette player & join it to the new head unit??
Or just scotch lock the wires do it further down the loom & run longer wires then you wont see the joins & save
cutting off the plug
Also do the scotch lock wires at different lengths then you wont end up with a pile of them all wrapped up in tape like a big black golf ball
I like to solder my wiring but quick & easy fix scotch lock them !!
