    Default R1 carbs on a redtop

    Hey, I have recently bout a set of r1 carbs off a man, have never been messed with and gave off a standard bike, I was just wondering what I needed all to use them on my redtop? And what advantages is there with using them and disadvantages is there?

    If im correct you will need a dizzy and coil from 1.6 (2 pin)
    A manifold / or cowbow way is to mod the standard one
    Have the carbs jetted correctly to the motor specs .
    Id have thought you would need a facet style carb fuel pump aswell.
    Never done the setup my self but have looked into it in the past.

    If you need a manifold made I can recommend http://www.danstengineering.co.uk had my manifold for my throttle bodies made by them and the quality is excellent.

    Cheers lads, think I'm goin to make the manifold myself, would it be ok to use stainless steel to make it?
