Scrap or Okay ?.

Hi all
Can this new but damaged camshaft still be used or is it scrap or can it be repaired ?
A few mechanics have told me it's good to use, I must admit I'm skeptical.

I'd just repair it tbh bit of weld and machine it back.

Clean up the sharp edges,install it in the cam box and then fit the thrust plate and bolts and see what it looks like, chances are it will be fine.

I think its fine. If i remember the radius of the thrust plate is greater than the smash on the cam.

Okay thanks for the advice. I think I will but it in the car and see, what can go wrong ! bar full engine damage
