    Default White Sri Rescue/Restore/Project...

Ok here it is. I am making this the official start of my build thread......

I have recently bought an Sri in need of some love and attention. It is white and currently without mot. It runs and is mostly original. There is lots of rust spread throughout the shell that needs attention. For the most part it looks manageable with just surface type rust spotting but there are some problem areas too.

The normal areas inc. both sides of the boot floor, arches and chassis legs. The chassis legs in particular need some real attention

So far in just the last couple of weeks the nova has taken me from Luton where I live up to Wellingborough for a donor X16XE engine in the form of a 42,000 mile R reg tigra. To West Bromwich for doors. Maidenhead for a bunch of other spares and soon to Bradford, Durham and Manchester for more bits and pieces.

Not to mention last weekends billing which had some stunning Novas and gave me some real inspiration for things to come.

I have already met some great people with a ton of knowledge and am thoroughly enjoying the process of it all. (Not so sure the wife shares my enthusiasm )

Same places where my sr has gone. Guarantee the bit behind the shock will spread right across. Mine did anyways .

    Hey Chris,
I'm actually really torn at the minute. I would like to maybe have it the way I would like it with the view to put it back to standard later on. Have a few ideas already

I saw you on your way back with that beast of yours. Such a clean mk1 you have there. A real gem of a car I followed for a bit in the work van but you were gone

Managed a couple of nights last week and had a day yesterday to get a bit done.

Interior, carpets, Bumpers, wings, bonnet, headlights and most of the sound deadening out. It came out fairly easy with all the hot weather we've been having which was a result.

Wow I had a real challenge with the headlight switch but have it down to an art now. Might post a video just encase anyone else is going to need to remove this anytime soon as it caused me all kinds of grief!!

Just need to get the bas**rd steering wheel off and the dash will be out too .

The front half of the car looks a lot cleaner and rot free than the back from those pictures. Good luck with your challenge!
