Default New member new project mk1 saloon with hatchback arches

First post so go easy lads...............

I bought this from a lad in Manchester it seems its been an ongoing project for a number of years
& couple of owners but never got finished if anyone knows any previous history please put it up.
good or bad no matter first pics of when I got it & now I will strip & do it properly........................

It does have some nice bits with it all new parts, poly bushed, new brakes, new cage & buckets
wheel stud conversion grp boot & a heap of mixed spares 2l 8v & c20xe bits looms ect
all of which i don't need will be going cheap to clear my shed.

I will needing some wiring info as ive never done a nova but I do everything myself bodywork, paint
welding ect I am marine engineer & boat bodger I do a lot of grp repairs i am considering
make a full grp or carbon flip front or make individual panels I'm missing wings & as it has hatchback
arches I'm not sure if i want to keep them ?? as I only want to make a mold once so I need to decide
before hand once its stripped & have a better idea of what I need to deal with an what route I'm going.......

What are your plans for the car, whatever they are it looks like you've got your work cut out, not found any rust yet or have you not gone lucking for it yet?

I do a lot of grp repairs i am considering make a full grp or carbon flip front or make individual panels...
That sort of comment will get you some attention on here, and if you go the Carbon route you can expect to receive a number of requests for copies (certainly of the individual panels), and I'll probably be amongst them

    Good luck with it.

Hi Matey there is no rot it was a ongoing project for 5 years shell is seam welded & strengthened just found a couple of
doggy welds that I have started to address I will make it road legal & track/hill climb when I have free time.

whether the 16xe will be quick enough for me mmm prob not priority is getting it running....
I just need to sort the wiring & fuelling as I want it running asap
pedal box needs doing I don't have a clue what parts are used on this or what fits and what doesn't.

Transponder wires are cut I need to know where these go & how to wire into the nova loom ah the joys

Aye the slight mention of carbon gets everyone hard

    Looks like a good start.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce
