    Default Brake Union Fitting Help

Im fitting bulk head brake line fittings. These have a male thread, so the line needs a female style flair? Or does it still use a male style flair?

    What im working with...

Left hand flair bit is what i use for the male end flair...

Mate, I had no end of issue with this!! But got it sorted

I used the exact same bulkhead fitting from car builder solutions.

Female union and female flare, on my flaring tool I have to make a male end on the pipe first and then make that into a female flare. I'd hazard a guess yours is the same.

Some people prefer a 'male end' buy I'm not one to judge.

3/16 brake pipe is about the right internal diameter for "male end" Mr Lover!!!!!

The female union requires an 'OP2' flare. So do op 1 first then op 2.

Oh, so i should use both sides to get the right flair on the end? i didn't think of that. Wasn't sure if the other one just opened the end out more.

Yeah, if you need an op2, always do op1 first.
