Default Back with a new project

Been registered on here for 11 years, in that time i have had a 1.2 mk2 & a mk1 SR with a 1.6 lump. Now i have a mk1 1.0 which i am working on. Paid 500 quid for the car
And for a D reg i think it's pretty solid. It's all rust free in the usual places apart from the rear arches, which are not severe. But front inner arches are almost none existant
So some welding to be done first and foremost. Whilst looking for someone to weld for me i'm stripping the interior & sorting any surface rust that i find. Hardly any but sorting all the little bits that i can see.

This is how i bought it

Some photos below of the work carried out. Just general tidying up & removal of rust.

    More to follow.

That's a lovely looking car and a bargain. The mexico red might grow on you with a polish?

Tbh i do like the colour. It's just that when all the welding is done on the arches it might look a bit tatty trying to blend the new paint against the old stuff. Any reccomendations for polish. I tried a bit of t cut on the wing and it started wearing thin

    Coming along well.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce
