Try a proper stud extractor it's like a socket with a hole in in tightens when turned anti clock wise
don't think you will get them out with grips I could be wrong though
you could tack a nut to the top of the stud an sand the weld of after
They can be with self grips, on the bit of the stud with no thread.
I had to do this once as one snapped and air was getting in!
With stuck exhaust and inlet studs I've had before I put two nuts on the stud, tightened them up against each other then used a spanner to turn the inner nut and hopefully the stud goes with it.
Heat the ally up then use grips that's the way I do it.
It's called using 2 nuts done up against each other!
im not really a fan of the double nut trick. especially on really long 10cm studs like these.
it sometimes works, but ive snapped alot of studs using that technique. (mainly in cylinder heads, which is a proper ball ache to fix once done)
i think garys method of heat the external, to undo the internal, is probably the best approach, incase there seized tight.
