    I've seen new tensioners on unskimmed engines being poo... Autotenensioners on the 8V, just dont do it :D

    Stuart are you saying irrespective of having the head/block skimmed that the best system to run on an 8v is the 104 tooth belt with no auto tensioner?

    As i said i have over 1mm off my head 95.9 is oe size iirc and mines ok.

    Just fitted 104 tooth belt and removed tensioner. thanks again I no longer have a problem cheers
