Thats an awesome find, really surprising they sold them there. The Aussie climate is obviously good for a Novas health!
Any plans in mind for it?

Looks very tidy, so what's the plans with it then?

Finally got the car in my possession and haven't done much bar add some fresh fuel and left it running to charge the battery.

I spoke to Australian Infrastructure regarding the approximate time the car was imported, and according to them the approval for import was granted in 1997, meaning the car may have been here for up to 19 years! Probably explains the lack of rot.

Can anyone tell me if service items (timing belt kit and oil filter mainly) are the same as any other Single Point Injection Corsa? We got the Corsa (Barina as its called in Oz) here but not the Nova. Would like to throw a belt on it before doing any miles in it.

Fuel gauge is not working, nor is the interior fan/heater. I remember MK1 switches being fairly problematic.

I have yet to get underneath it but shall do soon. I'll also take pictures of the usual rusty spots (willy waving).

Threw a bucket over it today. Some very homely weather today. Washing a Nova felt strangely normal.

As far as service items go, you have daewoos witch share parts, the astra too. Fan switches wouldn't cost a lot to send but are shared in other period gm shite so you may get lucky. The fuel gauge you want to hope is a bad connection as sending a fuel sender would be a pain
