    Default Exhaust system recommendations

Got a nova with a 20xe. Got an Ashley manifold fitted. But unsure what rest of system would fit. Would the Ashley exhaust system for a 1.6 nova fit? Or any other recommendations would be ideal thanks

Yes Ashley do a 2.25" system (twin box) to suit their Nova/XE manifold. I've been running this system for a number of years.

    Thanks for the replys

Does the company still run, sent a couple of emails over the last week or so with no reply.

Not sure if it makes much of a difference mate as I've not actually got it running yet. It's a never ending project.

Yes they're still going, try ringing them on the telemaphone

What are you wanting to know from them?

The manifold pipework is a fair bit larger to standard and opens up to 2.25" rather than 2". Probably not as good as a pukka BTB/SBD manifold but it's off the shelf and fits (well, with minor tweaks).

Got the manifold. And exhaust problem is I got 2" instead of 2 1/4". So was wondering if I need just part of the exhaust.

The manifold has a 2.25" outlet reduced to 2"? Unless it's been cut should just be a case of getting the Nova 2.25" and it should mate up

They are (or were) used in a LOT of motorsports, not sure about professional rallying as I'd imagine they'd use manufacturer made parts but rally lads and stockrod lads use Ashley systems. They are worth the money but they may not be the biggest name in exhaust systems.

I use the manifold and 2,25" system, it was an absolute pig to fit and had to do a lot mods to get 90% right. But it runs a hell of a lot better than the crappy 2,5" system that was first recommend & fitted.
It has a great crackle n pop on lift off and gear shifting.
