Got this through yesterday as I needed a round tooth option pulley to match the 1.4 bottom end.

Gave it a little polish and now looks like this.

I used a drill with a wire wheel attachment first then the autosol. I'm not quiet at mirror finish yet but happy from where it was

Planning on not running a cover then? I always think they look better without!

Well I had all along but 1• it's finding one thats decent and 2• the cost of getting one as it's a 3 peice one on the 14nv, the way this build is going it's a low priority part.

Well I'm certainly no painter but pretty happy how it came out. Do have one patch which ran when applying lacquer but will attempt to fix.
The worry all along was the colour difference between the older car paint and this but on first glance it's quiet close considering the car hadn't been cleaned or polished since owning it.

So got a Bergen valve spring compressor tool to start on the head and it was just a nightmare, just couldn't get the upper cups to drop. I ended up using a U clamp which worked a treat. Hoping the correct tool will help get it put back together but not counting my chickens.
Also got a Dremel so can now make a start tidying up the head before fitting.

With the good weather today I reassembled the freshly painted axle along with new hoses and lines. With be picking up the cylinders and fitting kit at the end of the month then this is complete.
