Great deadlift that. I'm at 140kg and can't progress at all. I use a neutral grip which is probably holding me back though. Need to start using an alternate grip just don't like it though.

Well its not bad using a trap, with a barbell it would be more impressive! Trap is a bit easier.

I've never attempted doing large amounts with a barbell 150kg for 10 is my PB don't think I could do 200kg as the mechanics are different from a trap deadlift.

P.s how good is your technique do you engage the glutes? I rock back very slightly just before the lift (with a barbell) to help engage the hamstrings then when its above the knees squeeze the glutes to help it up.

I think my technique is pretty good, me and my mate always make sure we're lifting with proper form. Yeah glutes are always engaged, always fee my legs after doing them think I may need to strengthen them up before going higher. Once I've got it like 6" off the deck I'm usually cruising.

All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

Yeah sounds right, to be fair you do know what you're talking about!

Yeah the trap bar, 200kg is still 200kg and you're still using the same muscles just with a barbell you're putting more pressure on your spine! So technically trap deadlifts ARE better for you but barbell is the most recognised format.

Training today was specific to the competition events as comp is two weeks away, flipping the 300kg tyre and I messed the lift up and it fell back and smacked me in the jaw

    Just thought I'd share that.
