I think any bracing helps movement/flex
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

Can't help to thinck this is stronger than adding some plates to the pickup point .
As I see it this should help mutch more and simple to install.

You going for a off he shelve cage or a custom fabricated one? If you gonna have one made/make your own I'd highly recommend a bar across the rear arches and also bringing the cage through the bulk head to the shock turrets. There is next to no flex in my shell, it's literally tighter than a gnats chuff .

I've bought a OMP cage fia approuved, I can't alter it and bring it to the front turrets.
Anyway we run most of the time on public roads for the hillclimbs and not all of them are
nice and flat, therefor to stiff is no good. Sepperate from the cage I can install a cross
    between the rear shocks

Looks like you know what you're doing, shell prep looks good, I can't see that bracing hurting anything.

I too would recommend triangulated front-end, is it not possible to get an FIA cage with this built in?

Some people invert the taper on the steering arm to run it upside down, or change to a rosejoint and bolt. But have mixed succeed in doing these mods so my word of warning would be to make it reversible.
