It would take some serious money for me to sell mine. It would have to be way more than its actually worth, since it has a lot of sentimental value after 10 years of ownership and all the effort I've put into it. I doubt anyone would offer me enough to sell as its been built how I want it, its probably not near enough standard SR or crazy high specced enough for anyone else.

I think your right nick although a few years ago you would have got some funny looks mentioning Novas with escort
mk1 an 2's. But good sports turbos Gsi gte are getting harder to find in good condition. As I said 5 to 8 years time I think 5 figures will be achieved.

Are you not tempted to keep the car even if it only does a couple of shows a year and maybe for your son when he's older. I would guess he'll undoubtedly be in to cars it would be a lovely thing to pass on

Its one of them really... If it goes so be it but if not I will continue to use it now and again. As for Ethan I'm going to keep him as far away from cars as possible! However somehow I can't see that happening....

its the Being from/in Norfolk thing, I've got most of my old GSi in the loft of the Garage still just awaiting for the right time to use some of the parts on the Sting! Although I still have the Sunroof when/if you want it Rich.

Now, if I have rebuilt the GSi then I doubt I would have got too much for it as it was the bastard lovechild of a GTE and GSi. I would think it would have only fetched £2-3k.
The Sting on the other hand, once I've got it to how I want it, it will probably be a 1 off, which is fairly rare in the Nova world, mainly because I don't want to go down the usual route of engine choice. plus because of this and some of the mods I would make, it wouldn't be to everyone's taste so would probably never sell it.

I could be persuaded to part with the Novas but, it would be for more money than I know I could get a better replacement, also bearing in mind when you buy a car there is the bad (or alternative) servicing and and bad repairs that have to be taken into account.

I have to say that my 1960 wouldn't be for sale unless it was a crazy and I mean crazy amount of money. Totally original with all age related marks as it is not restored. Owned by one family apart from 6 months before I got it. It is the type of car that is very difficult to rebuy.
