    Default Whats your working hours???

So just finished my overtime/on call week, sunday night. and last week i worked my standard hours mon-friday 37.5 hours but as i was on call all week i had to be available to work at the drop of a hat, i ended up doing 60 hours over time so thats a total of 97.5 hours worked this week!!

What does everyone else work ??? and do you do overtime??

im not really moaning as it makes me good money, but our lass thinks its excessive and i should do less, but i told her most people do loads of hours

    your thoughts please

I do about 2 - 6 Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, then 7 - 6 Thursdays and Saturdays, and 3 - 6 on Friday. Only because school is in the way, otherwise 7-6 Monday to Saturday (carpenter with my uncle) and then Sundays 8 - 4 as a panel beater/sprayer/mechanic with my mom's manfriend.

I think you need to have a firm word with your missus.

Was 35, now changed to 37.5 with the new company but paid more to make up for it, they didn't want to give me a day and a bit a month extra holiday The past few weeks I've been doing between 45 and 60 hours (travel time is included) but get no extra pay or time off

beat was farming in the holiday from uni. Managed a few 110hour weeks at harvest.

Basic is 37 but I could count on one hand how many times I've done 37 hours a week this year, actual hours worked is 50-60 with a couple slightly over 60 but that's rare. I don't work weekends either.

Would never do nearly 100 hours!

Edit: Also, my 'overtime' is paid at my standard rate of £7.20 per hour.

I do a nice Mon-Fri 9:30-5 every day, I can do more if needed but generally I finish all the work in those hours anyway. I get paid the same hourly rate for any extra hours I do, which isn't really a great incentive as then my free time seems worth more to me. In my last job after 10 hours overtime at time and a half, it then hit double time rate so it was well worth doing.
