    Default What's your routine?

Alright guys, I've been looking at ways to get my Arden Blue Mk2 looking sharp again...

It was resprayed within the last couple of years, and found Auto Glym to work wonders on the finish... Leading me to buy the proper 13-piece kit.

Does anyone have a particular sequence that they'd recommend? Along the lines of Wash>Polish>Clay Bar>Wax??

Any tips to improve the gloss and finish would be appreciated!

    Cheers

I use the same sequence as you except I use a good quality sealant between clay bar and waxing

Is there any particular brand of sealant you'd recommend? Do you do it every time you wash the car?

Just after I polish it, I'm using poorboys ex-p and find it spot on and after that I either use poorboys nattys wax or dodo juice White diamond.

Clay baring should be done done any kind of polishing!

Clay is designed to remove surface contaminants (ie shit stuck in to the paint)
You do that to clean the surface before you polish so your not grinding that in marking the paint worse.

Extra gloss is your sealant in that kit you prob have. So use that after waxing to seal the finish.

    So you want to..

    Wash.
Clay with a detaler/still wet car.
    Dry.
    Polish.
    Wax.
    Extra gloss over the top.

I can go in to alot more detail if you'd like.

I use many different things. But wax wise.

    Meguires Mirror Glaze and NXT.
    Dodo juice Purple haze.

Either and or all of them. Most arnt cheap, but are well worth it. I also use a glaze after polishing too. But thats a few more Leves up.

    Pics? Me?

Ohhh you're the Benn with the car of the month one then looks like your method works well! I still haven't cut in fully from after it was resprayed, but after I do that properly I'll be looking at giving it a full detail. I've nevr used a clay bar before either so hopefully that'll go smoothly!

Perfect, i wash after claying some times too. I would wax after polishing tho.. As it kinda leaves the surface open. Waxing seals it closed so to speak.

    Car of the month??

If you haven't flat and polished it yet you wanna start there. Clay is easy to use and one of the best things out there.
