    Default Irish C20LET Turbo

For the past while I have been inquiring about a white GSi turbo about 20mins from me. I recently went out to view, seen what had to be done and bought her the following week.

She is an original GSi with a C20let conversion. Needs some work but I didnt mind that as there was a great history with her and a ton of money spent on the engine. She has a dyno printout of 307bhp. Shes running a F20 box though so that will have to be changed.

My plans for her are a mini resto and full respray, get the drivetrain sorted as she pulls to the left alot and sort out the exhaust as she is very noisy.
Also want to hide the intercooler.

Anyways here is some pics, comments and advise on the above welcome

Looks like a good starting point. rear panel and boot floor repairs and it will be better. Bit of a tidy and you'll have a nice motor.

Ya I hope to have all the work done by the summer. Mainly the body work and all the other small bits. Illegal to have eng reg, so have to clear in and then all of the above but I wont worry about that until next year!

Cheers I hope to get a move on all of it. Looking into hiding the front mount intercooler. How did you do yours and any preference for a type of one?

Nice find, though seemingly minor as the work might appear you've still got your work cut out with her. New rear panel for sure, possibly quarters (at least repair sections on both sides need done at very least), and perhaps inner rear arches depending on how deep you dig. Doesn't look pain-free, that's for sure. Otherwise, not a bad base to work from, will be interesting to see what you do with it. All the best with the resto

Oh aye, and if you're wanting a hidden (bespoke) FMI, best people to approach are RadTech. They'll sort you out with a radiator, intercooler, oil cooler set up that fits like a glove. Just don't expect not to dig deep.

Cheers lads, I have a friend who restores rotten twin cams so this should be well within his caliber.
On the above where is the best places for sourcing gm and spurious panels?
    Chris
