Suspension help

Hi all,
just brought my third nova and need some advice!
its just had brand new suspension fitted (by previous owner, 300 miles ago). Lowered 40mm springs.
whenever I go over a dip or a pot hole the noise coming from the front is awful!!
Any ideas what this could be? Or what I should be looking for to source the problem?

I would personal just look to see if everything is done up, and that the top mount is seated correctly on the shock as I've had that before at work

i suggest you look at the bump stop rubbers on the front struts, as standard size ones need cutting down to about half their original length or they can bottom out

It's got 40mm apex lowering springs Gabriel front struts and standard rear shocks.
the noise is coming from the front.
Think I'll take it down to a garage for a check over.
