Default 1.9cdti info needed (if pos)

Ok. Hoping some one out there knows a little about the vauxhall 1.9cdti 16v engine.
Been told I have a leaking injector.
Do you know if they need setting up (diagnostic set up) like mondeo engine does. And how hard are they to replace. I've been on you tube for a guide and its cams out etc.

car ar blows white smoke once warmed up and under heavy load (right foot) the smoke is a wall of black smoke. (Funny when people are tailgating)

any my help is great fully received as I've no idea on diesels

No need for cams out ?? Simply remove high pressure fuel pipe to the injector, remove clamping bracket and injector pulls up - but new injector need programming !! It will run without programming but calibration will be out

Nearly posted this morning, I have a Saab 93 with a 1.9TID (150, which I believe is the same engine)

You can change the injectors' without disturbing the cams

Aren't these the engines where the injectors take a few days to remove?? (As they get stuck)

I must admit the video with the cams coming out are on a 2.2 diesel signam.
Ive also seen a few vids were you use over sized spanners and tighten the top nut down as it pops the injector out via leverage of the spanners.

Big thanks for info guys. I'll have a crack at this soon. Sick of looking like the red arrows driving down the road.

Ive fitted dozens of injectors on these engines and have never had any serious problems removing them. They can be a little seized but just work it side to side and it will come
