Default Speedo with a quaife gear selector

How have people managed to get their speedo to work with a quaife gear selector. The selector rods run right over the top of the speedo boss on the gearbox and the cable no longer fits.

Surely the group a works cars had a speedo? How did they have them?

They might have had the posh plate diffs that don't have room for a plastic speedo ring so pick speed up from elsewhere?

I run a stack as my shifter runs where the plastic sender resided... You can get loads of aftermarket speedos that run off a magnet, Hall effect sensor spa are reliable and cheap ish at £160
