Default x16xe conversion - management light flashing?

Done the conversion on my nova and the ML is flashing. Key, transponder and ecu all came from running donor car. Any ideas?

I used the diagram from the how to thread. Does it matter which way round the blue/red wires go on the pick up?

    yeah it does.

on the transponder ring connector : (if you count along the slots for the numbers 1 to 9)

    - pin 6 red/blue wire : goes to the gearbox speed sensor
    - pn 7 red/blue wire : goes to the ecu

if your still running into troubles, check that the brown/yellow wire from the ecu isnt permanently earthed (as thats the wire that completes the circuit, for flashing fault codes out)

even without the speed sensor connected (pin 6), the car should still start, but youll need it linked up for driving, to stop it from stalling

All sorted now. That's what it was, the two blue/red where the wrong way round.
