Default Rear washer emptying washer bottle.

    Hi Folks,
Got a problem with the Mrs Nova, It has had the rear washer pipe cut and blanked in the engine bay since owning it, so we decided we'd connect it up. After doing so it emptied the washer bottle over the course of about half an hour without even operating the rear wash. I've no idea where the washer fluid went as there were no puddles anywhere.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Regards,
    Liam

I doubt its leaking in the car as the hose goes above the headlining and you should notice if that was leaking. You sure the hose is connected on to the pump properly under the bonnet.

Have you checked that the washer jet works once re-connected as the pipe tends to snap inside the rubber between the car and tailgate, this could be where the water has leaked into, so check the tailgate and inside the area where you access the rear lights to change the bulbs as this is where the water could of gone.

Check where it flexes in the rubber grommit between the car and the boot lid.
