Been quite disciplined getting all the bits together / re engineered over the past few months, but tonight I finished putting in the cable shifter. I'm certainly not the first to do this and Johnny A gave me the idea - I figured it was worth ago!

Let's see the engine bay side of things!
when are you going to do a build thread or even just show loads of pics of your car.....keep just getting odd glimpses of it like a poor man at a titty show
^^^ did you just read that? what a idiot ^^^
PROJECT 2 FAST 2 FAT clicky
''lifes what happens, while your busy making plans''
Liking the electric window switches in the middle vent situ
Is the middle switch an ejector seat
Cable shift is the way forward - or backward in my case
Cant believe I took this picture way back in December 2006 !!! Nova still look same today

havnt got a pic of mine to hand but same as BRoadGhost just without the raised bit (drag corsa v6) f20 internals with f18 case
One of the nicest gearchanges I've had the pleasure of experiencing on a Nova and believe me I've spent months trying to perfect Quaife's lever and quick shift kits.
It's so direct and mine has a very short throw and is in close proximity to the steering wheel - useful when I plan to 'steer from the rear'

Both installs look smart
Love the way you can just 180 the turret on GM boxes; you've got a different type of turret too there with the weights on it. The one I had ran a dumbell on a rod that bolted down to the housing; so that got thrown. The route I took with the cables isn't ideal / would be better if the shifter was further back (handbrake would have to be moved), but the feel of the shift is pretty accurate what with the selector having it's own internal gate.
I've made solid all the rubber in mine, but would love a metal housing like you've got there fearless.
