I am in the process of converting my Nova to run a x14xe. While the engine is away being built I am modifying the chassis leg to accept the ribbed alternator belt. As I am running the engine on Weber 45s I need to lower the alternator on the engine to clear the carbs. Therefore I need to know roughly where the alternator will sit relative to the chassis leg before I finish the reshaping.

Has anyone done this and if so roughly where does the pulley sit against the chassis leg. Pics would be great if possible.
