Default e36 318 is 'BUDGET MOTORSPORT'

So after the recent nova fails I decided to just buy something that works that I can have fun in, a short list ended with me chucking in a low bid on a ebay motor a e36 318 is amazingly I won it for 410 quid BARGIN! 130k miles, 11months mot

Even came with a set of 18" mv2 alloys that sell for around 200/250 quid!

so as you can well imagine a 400 quid German **** mobile will have a few problems, the body work if rough and ready (couldn't care less im bound to bin it on a trackday anyway )

had to replace the two rear tyres after some driving that should not be condoned while driving it back home 60 miles from Doncaster 90 quid for the two fitted

    pads will need changing soon

exhaust has a massive blow nice large crack around the back box where the tailpipe joins

so today I decided to take the car for a shake down around the Derbyshire dales before booking a trackday at donnington and got some nice photos

even found a little cave style thing

all seemed well but only really stopped and admired the lovely Derbyshire surroundings as the clutch let go :D had to ease it back around 40+ miles with the clutch slipping so bad it was unreal car refused to go any faster then 50 mph and when I finally got it nearly home around 3 miles from home it decided to not let me select anygears on the middle of a large roundabout until I stopped and selected a gear with out the engine on peoples faces lmfao!

so all is not well in beemer land right now, but im sure once a new clutch is installed all will be well again

I still like a 3 series but think you'll eventually throw more money at it than you want if it starts braking down on you... Is it silk violet

a clutch kit is only 80 quid and its probably still on its original one so no big deal, if anything big goes wrong it will be binned off and something will replace it

even at a grand its still given me more joy then the last two novas
