Vauxhall 1400 8v rally engine. Based on 13S block. It has a Peter Maiden 13RR cam and fully worked head and a lightened flywheel fitted to a standardish bottom end. Has been fitted to my Nova rally car and has given 100% reliable service in nearly 40 rallies. It has brought us many class wins including a hat trick of class wins on the North West Stages in 09, 10 and 11. We also won the class in the North of England Tarmac Rally Championship. Doesn't use any oil or coolant and has had oil changes after every event regardless of mileage. It has been maintained regardless of cost. It's a very torquey little motor that has thrived on tight and twisty venues especially. As for power I don't know, it's had annual set ups at Protec in Preston so as long as the engine was tuned to its optimum the figure was unimportant. It has been run on a set of genuine Nova Sport 40s and air box (sold) and a Peter Lloyd exhaust (available separately), although it does come with a rebuilt distributor. It's a proven little motor and should give reliable service for many events to come. It's still in the car if you want to see it running. £400.
