a mate of mine has a 1998 toyota corolla with a 1.3 engine. the other day it cut out on him and would not start so we towed it to my place. i got it to start eventually by cleaning the plugs but it took a while to start like the engine kept flooding.
i done a compression test when it was hot and throttle open i am getting. 260 psi, 140 psi, 215 psi, 245 psi to me these look very high? i was expecting to be around 160 psi. there seems to be a small bit of white smoke from the exhaust. maybe head gasket. the owner does not remember if it got hot and the engine oil was very low as welli am getting new plugs tomorrow to see if that helps to start easier.
