need help asap Vauxhall nova 1.2 spi

Hi all, my 1.2 spi nova. It had been running fine with no issues then earlier on today it started stalling when you try go over 2k revs and no cuts out as soon as it starts. I've checked fuel pump etc and its all fine. Does anyone have any ideas? Or things to check.

has to be something simple as if it starts at all, 2 of the main components are working.
check the vac line to the MAP sensor.
what was the fuel pressure when you checked the pump?

I haven't checked the fuel pressure but if its correct it takes 2.54 seconds to fill a jerry can. Also it doesn't have a map sensor I don't think

put a jump lead across the alternator bracket/arm to the negative battery terminal, to rule out a bad earth.
