not sure Iain it says alloy and steel, I'm away to get one after work so I'll let you's know how it is.
They are not so good. they dont have a very low profile due to the side webs tapering up. The best costco jack was the low-level steel one in black. It has a really good long reach.
Not everyone's car is slammed on it's **** and besides it costs peanuts.
