So started by drilling the spot welds out




And choice of weapon 8mm spot weld drill

And ground back the paint ready for cutting you can see the rot that has caused me to fit the Cill also along the bottom had a small hole towards the front

And off with the rot




And all the rust that fell out as I was removing it


Then lining the new panel up




also with the metal I removed ( rusty stuff ) I cut small lengths from roughly the position they were in and stuck them to the inside of the rear quarter so I could get the same shape joining the new panel if any of that makes sense ahha

Pulled them off when finished

You can make out the small bits between the panel if you look close enough haha hope that all makes sense


Making it all line up


Then gave it all a good paint to stop the rust for a few more years




Then made a start on welding it up






Then ground down and start welding again

did you get the cage in okay?

Havnt attempted it yet mate I put it roughly in but think I'll have to make beds for the feet of the cage to sit on engine out next then I'll get the cage in just trying to save money for a respray I didn't realise how much it would cost haha
