    Default 2.0 8v engine mods??

    Hey, I'm planning on putting a 2.0 8v engine into my nova and I want to fully rebuild the engine before it goes in, jus wondering what Al modifications I could do to while I'm building it, and also were is the best place to get all the parts to rebuild it? Any help greatly appreciated thanks

    i guess you were planning to renew the shell bearings/piston rings etc, with the rebuild (if they need replacing that is)

    cleaning up the head castings, and port matching the manifolds would help.

    ive heard they go pretty well with the standard cam, so its probably not worth the £300 for a fast road version.

    you'll no doubt have to mess about with the exhaust, in order to get it to fit in the nova, so a better flowing exhaust manifold and system would help.

    I'm replacing everything from the bottom up weather it needs it or not, want it done right so that I'll not have to do it again hopefully, was thinking bout porting and polishing the head, is there anything I can do to the bottom end to make it stronger? As for the exhaust I'll buy a good four branch but I'm making a full stainless steal exhaust for it into a good back box,

    there pretty hardy engines. i think youll be ok as is.
    arp rod bolts are usually used, if your planning on raising the rev limit.

    Thanks for the advice just need to find somewhere to get the parts now cause I can't work out how to use that auto vaux place ,
