    Default action/moving photo advice

    I'm trying to get some half decent photos of my dogs playing but every time with out fail the pictures come out in a blurry mess!


    now I know this is a car forum.... but people must have some hints. tips. advice that carries over from taking action shots of cars


    either for my phone or digital camera, what can I try cheers

    Millworker, that's not a bad idea tbh.

    TJ you could film and then put it onto your computer then get some video software that will take the frames out separately

    Does your camera have a sports mode?
    This gives a very quick shutter speed so takes a photo quicker to get a fast moving target.
    Also the dogs arnt in focus, the back ground is.. on your photo touch the screen to focus on them, macro might help too..

    As Benn said, if its a basic camera then just try sports mode. If you have more advanced controls, try a faster shutter speed but bear in mind you'll need to then allow more light into the camaera - so either widen the aperture (and get a shorter depth of field which could make taking the picture in focus a bit harder, and potentially a few abnormal side effects) and/or raise the ISO (but will reduce picture quality)
