    c20xe guru,s help!!!!!!,I bought a corsa b what was a track day car i think, It has a metal tag on it saying smiles enginering co. It says bore size plus 5mm any help on this. Cheers

    Sorry what's the question exactly? You wanting to know what the bore size is?

    Chances are it's had a 0.5mm overbore so it'll be 86.5mm with pistons to suit.

    The bores get worn with use/abuse/mileage therefore a thorough rebuild of the engine results in a rebore (opens the bores out to slightly larger, in your case 0.5mm larger) and larger pistons to suit.

    It's a good sign IMO.

    Found out a bit more its 2022cc 86.5mm, waiting to see if it has standard pistons via smiles engineering.I am well chuffed.

    the extra 24cc isnt much to get excited about really... its the other things that might be of use though, eg it might have more exciting cams etc.

    Agree 100% but the rebuild gives me massive peace of mind.

    surely it meens it is a good strong engine.I am hoping it will have a healthy 149 bhp

    My mate bought a nova with 127bhp and had to have a full rebuild.
