Post Vauxhall Nova SR 1.6 Gold Exceptional Example

Ive finally decided to sell my beloved Vauxhall Nova 1987 1.6 SR with 87,000 miles on the clock.

This was my first car back when I was 17 and I have owned it now for over 16 years.

Inbox me with offers starting at £5,000.

You can also find the auction for the car on ebay with bids starting at £1,500.

It had a full restoration back in 2004 and has been hidden away in a lockup ever since.

There is a huge list of modifications that have been carried out, all work was done by a number of reputable garages and as you can see the pictures speak for themselves.

Sold without Tax or Mot but should go through first time without any issues.

    Interior Modifications:
Mint complete GSI Interior & dash removed from a gsi with 23,000 miles on the clock.
    Custom trimmed suede door caps
    Astra GTE door kick plates
    Cavalier style electric sunroof
    Tick style GTE digital dash
    Snap off Momo steering wheel
    Custom made SR floor mats
    Professionally trimmed black headlining
    Red SRI illuminated sun visors
Conrerro silver carbon fibre effect gear and handbrake gators, handbrake lever, gear knob and foot pedals.

Professionally fitted soft touch passenger door and boot release switches within reach of driver.
Sound gallery heavy duty audio cables fitted professionally and discreetly throughout.
Custom built 2x 120w Sony Xplod Amp boot floor build.

    Exterior Modifications:
Fully stripped and sprayed inside and out Blaze Yellow Gold (2003)
The car was professionally finished inside and out to an extremely high standard as you can see from the pictures.

    Soft one touch passenger door
release switch professionally fitted under the door mirrors

GSI one off made front bumper with vents grafted into lower lip.
    DTM professionally fitted wing mirrors
Fuel cap and recess cut from a Citroen and grafted into rear quarter.
Professionally fitted Astra GSI bonnet vents
MK5 Golf side repeaters and recesses grafted into wings.
Vauxhall Vectra door handle grafted into drivers door.
    Passenger door handle deleted.
    Delocked tailgate.
Irmscher spectre 16" wheels with low profile tyres
    GSI spoiler with working brakelight.

    Tinted windows.

    Performance:
    Fully rebuilt GTE 1.6 engine

Overbored to 1650cc with oversized pistons fitted.
    Reground crank.
    Kent cam
    Lightened flywheel
Blydenstein big valve ported and polished head
    Fitted standard injection system

Fully bespoke Performance full stainless steel exhaust system
Roose Motorsport custom hoses and new radiator
Astra GTE rear disc conversion with front and rear GTE discs and calipers fitted

    115Bhp on dyno with printout.
I also have a Custom stainless steel exhaust manifold with subaru impreza turbo fitted. I never got round to fitting.

    Bad Points:
Some paint has flaked from passenger door handle
Cracked plastic on drivers seat where someone has kicked it whilst getting in/out

With a £5000 price tag, I would expect some detail pics of the typical areas that are prone to rust... can you upload them? I can see some that may be creeping through on the n/s turret for example?

What you can see in the picture on the n/s turret is just wax oil where I haven't cleaned it before taking the picture.

There are a few minor things that may need attention in the future. After the restoration the car was wax oiled heavily in all of the cavities, so is in very good condition with regards to the bodywork however this was done back in 2004.

There is a very small patch starting to appear on the nearside rear wheel arch, just above the bumper.

I will upload some pictures tomorrow night of this as well as the rest of the arches, battery tray, boot floor and along the bottom of the doors. Is there anywhere else you would regard as a problem area?

I would highly recommend viewing it personally as you will get a better picture of just how clean it is.

Yes no problem at all if the price is right.

    Default Update

Sorry for the late uploads I have been getting back from work late and didn't get a chance to take the pictures.

The car will now come with an MOT and can be taxed at the cost of whoever buys it if they so wish.

The n/s rear wheel arch is the only bit of rust on the car and as you can see from the pictures is not very bad at all.
