    What vinyl are you removing? A heat gun should be good enough for the pillars or bottom half of an sr, just don't get it too hot or it may damage the paint.

    I'm removing the boot vinyl as boot is being repainted so glass is out and spoiler off so wonder what's the best way as I've got that lovely job tomorrow

    Hairdryer would be more gentle.

    Heat gun on low then remove glue if any with tar and glue remover.

    when I had my red sr I used the caramel wheel on the boot still took about 45 min heat gun can do it just as good
