    Default Mk1 2door Saloon - Champagne Supernova

Seems having the ebay app on my phone isnt always the best idea! When I realised I wouldnt have my mk2 sr project finished for this summer I spotted this little gem and was lucky to buy it

    my mk2 sr project - http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthr...r-nova-project

1988 mk1 saloon with 43000 miles on the clock
all documents, mots and most taxdiscs from new
Not to mention its PNG plate!

The car had been drove by an elderly woman from new and she eventually traded it in for a corsa and the car dealer was selling it for her.

I got the car with the seats covers which looked like they were bought in the 80's, underneath being a super mint interior. It also still has the original GM rubber mats but with another set of mats over the top of them so the carpet is in perfect condition. Finest 1980's poverty spec Coin tray also, reality check with no radio!

I tidied the paintwork up and gave it good clean and refurbed the original wheels, removed the bumpers and had them cleaned & treated.

It will be making the long journey from N.I to Billing very soon but hope to get it motd and drive it for a week or 2!

Some new goodies already bought for it after mot so il keep you up-to date with progress!

    when i bought it:

and a clue of things to come soon!

Plans in the next few weeks:

    Mot & Tax
    Fit coilovers
    Tyres on Banded Steels
    Service
Wire a cigarette lighter for satnav for the big trip to billing

    Mmmmmmmmmmmm banded steels!
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

Very nice, i was bidding on this as it was fairly local to me-not to you though! Knew someone on here would buy it purely for the reg plate. look forward to seeing how this turns out.

Spent this evening stripping the front brakes as we all know the delco calipers are a real **** for sticking. Think I finally got the freed up and turning smoothly by hand

brakes lines all shinning like new underneath

New cigarette lighter wired in aswel as it didnt have one and il need it for the roadtrip to billing

going to avoid fitting a radio and just use a bluetooth speaker with the phone aswel, keep the coin tray for holding pointless items I find in my pocket

Going to try and see if I have a better headlight for the front pass side to make the frontend perfect although that photo makes it look alot worse than in person for some reason
    opinions on mudflaps or not?

Looks lovely mate, was good to catch up with a fellow loon owner and have daz's yours and mine all parked up
If Carlsberg did Motor clubs, then IDMC would probably be the best motor club in the world.
